Pastor Penny’s 2 cents on Scriptures for times like these.  A scripture for the day for hope, peace, & inspiration.

 

  1. Isaiah 1 Peter 5:7  
    Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
     

  2. Isaiah 41:10
    So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

     

  3. Deuteronomy 31:6
    Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

     

  4. Isaiah 43:19
    See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

     

  5. Jeremiah 29:11
    For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

     

  6. Psalm 46:1-3
    God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

     

  7. Ephesians 4:22-24
    You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

    He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.

    Proverbs 12:25
    Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
     

  12.  2 Thessalonians 3: 16
    Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
     
    Colossians 3:15  
    Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

     

  13. John 14:27  
    Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

     

  14. 1 Thessalonians  5:15  
    Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

     

  15. 1 Peter 3:9-11  
    Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. 11 They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.

     

  16. Romans 16:20  
    The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

     

  17. 1 Corinthians 9:25-27
    For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. wrestle.

    Luke 13:24
    Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

     

  18. Romans 15:13
    Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
     
  19. Jeremiah 17:7
    Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.

    Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

     

  20. Ephesians 1:18
    I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people…

     

  21. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18.
    For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

     

  22. Romans 8:38-39
    For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

     

  23. Isaiah 40:31
    But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

     

  24. Romans 8:28
    And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
